When meeting Jen in 2019, discussing her wedding to long term partner Rich and thinking about all of the special details of her day, the thought that it might not go ahead was far from considered. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak around the world, their special day nearly didn’t! Just a few days before the UK lockdown was announced Jen and Rich managed to tie the knot and have their dream day albeit slightly different to planned. Sadly a large proportion of Jen’s family were unable to make it as they were travelling from abroad, but her amazing friends and other family were there to cheer them on and their wedding was full of love, laughter and plenty of special touches.
Jen and Rich had their wedding at the picturesque Notley Tythe Barn which is nestled in the Chiltern Hills on the Bucks and Oxon border. Surrounded by countryside landscapes, the sun was shining and they couldn't have asked for better weather to celebrate their day and the start of Spring.
Jen got ready at home with her daughter and bridesmaid and the wedding morning was laid back with plenty of bubbles and music.

Jen's dress was absolutely stunning - I love all the attention to detail, especially on the back with all of those pretty buttons.
Jen and her girls were ready early so it was the perfect opportunity to get outside and take a few more photos before we left to head to the venue.

Jen was picked up by a stylish stretch white limo for the journey to Notley Tythe Barn. My second photographer Ami was already there to photograph Rich and the guests arrival and get some candid photographs before we arrived.
The barn style ceremony space is perfect or an intimate or large ceremony.
A bubble and drinks reception awaited Jen and Rich following their ceremony...
After being congratulated by their wedding guests we moved onto group and couple photos before the wedding breakfast, the grounds combined with such gorgeous weather made it the perfect location and light for my favourite dreamy bright and airy photos.
Jen and Rich's decor for the wedding breakfast was inspired by all of the places they have visited, as keen travellers there were lots of destinations.
Onto the arrival of the newly weds and the speeches...
One of the benefits of loosing the light early in the evening is the opportunity to have some sparkler photos like Jen and Rich did. Top tip - order the extra long sparklers and ensure your guests can have several each to really make an impact.
The whole day was full of fun and laughter and rounded off by the cutting of the cake, Jen and Rich's rehearsed dance routine, a magician, photo booth and lots of partying.
